I’m also gearing up for the end of 2009. Lots of items are being added to be 2009 to-do list!

Even though I’ve been over to their place a dozen times, Alan and Barb held an official house-warming party. Lots of people were showed up and the happy couple was pretty ecstatic.

As for me, I can’t wait to own my first property. I’m aiming to buy my own 2 bedroom condo 5 years after I graduate. It’s ambitious… but my own condo! That’s something to work (and save) towards. I have some ideas as to what sort of condo I want to get. Obviously, I want a 2 bedroom place, so I can live with a roommate (and have her/him help out with rent and my mortgage). The place must have a balcony, so I can hang pretty pretty lights and read outside on nice summer days. Smaller details would include that the stove and the sink to be adjacent to each other (chinese superstition) and that the entrance would not have a long corridor. It’s a strange list… but that’s what I want!

I see owning a condo to be a long-term investment. My plan is to live in it for first 5 years or so (or until I move in with a boyfriend/get married). After I move out, a house (with a porch!) will be the next property on my list. Maybe I’ll get a dog or two. Or a kid or not. Y’know, I’ll just go with the flow.

Anyways, I can’t wait to go to the next house-warming party. I’m looking at you, Johnny! =]
