The song is 溫柔(Gentle) by 五月天 (Mayday). Listening to the live version gives me chills everytime. I love everything about the chorus – the lyrics, the melody, the whole atmosphere of the song. The lyrics flow together so well. Ashin might not be the greatest singer in the world, but he sings with such great emotion that it’s infectious. I need to see them live again.

Today was pretty damn awesome. Started the day off with a healthy breakfast at New City, Derek and I met up with big Steve, Alan and Carmen. We got out of there pretty quick, since we had a lot of errands to do. First up was to check out the Hockey Store at Vaughn Mills. Well… the place is kinda far, if you’re there, you might as well shop the entire mall! And that’s exactly what we did! Fun times!

We headed just outside of downtown to pick up some goalie stuff for the boy afterwards. (He didn’t like the ones at Vaughn Mills.) Picked up some blocker at Duke’s. Finally, headed down to Ontario Place!

We were there really early, but we didn’t mind since it was such a nice day anyways. We walked around Ontario Place. It was such a beautiful day! Lots of kids, lots of… punks. haha

Getting into Molson Amphitheatre wasn’t too bad. We spotted several dads/moms totally rocking out to the music, which was pretty cool.

The first opener was Saint Alvia. They were pretty cool. Derek and I noticed that all of them were wearing pants that are way too tight. A few of the guys also looked really familiar. After some quick googling, they were ex members of Jersey and Boys Night Out. No wonder! Kinda felt bad for them… opening for Rancid AND Rise Against? That’s pressure right there.

Rancid was up next… and they pretty much owned it. It was a short set… but damn, they were so good! Definitely wished they played for a bit longer, though they were here last year around the same time.

Then finally, Rise Against was on. ♥ nothing but love for them! They were pretty good. Maybe because it was an outdoor arena (or me hyping them up or this being the last date of the tour), but Tim the lead singer seemed really tired. Either way, they played a couple of new songs and some old ones. Tim pulled out his acoustic guitar to play a two songs on his own – Everchanging and Heroes of War. Damn, so good

&hearts! I can’t wait for them to be back next.

He's abolutely larger than life. Can you handle all the Vegas and Leehom?!]]> All ready to go to work! work work work! We went out for authentic thai food at Thai Bistro. Avi's such a goof! Messy or what. Mini tangerines from an EA! Finally leaving work for the day! Parents come to pick me up after work for some pre-flight Korean food. Elsie + Lisa looking super bored as we wait around to board the plane. Lisa being super ready for Vegas! First thing we see at MGM. Just the MGM. All decorated for the Chinese New Year. This little tiger's been to Taipei, Toronto AND Las Vegas now! mmhmm.... Banana Split Super Sundae at Planet Hollywood's Planet Dailies. Just chilling around. The green sky courtesy of our MGM Grand. After exploring around, we went to bed at 4:05am! Would've been 7:05am Toronto time! McDonald's for breakfast. Looking at the strip during hte day. WHOA. my hair is a mess. Palazzo as my backdrop. Debbie being Debbie. Debbie + Lisa shopping at Fashion Show Mall. Hello Kitty? We saw Heidi Klum at the Fashion Show Mall for a taping of Germany's Next Top Model. She is absolutely gorgeous. Sweater dress from Zara... i might get it in Toronto. How awkward are these poses? Beautiful night lights. The Forum Shops. Ticket for the show. We sat on stage left, 9th row! SO surreal to be at the concert. LMAO. I can't get over his bubble butt. Leehom and THE guitar. I love the design on the side. That grungy type of feel. It doesn't hurt that Leehom is crooning love songs on the side. SO close to Leehom. Could've jumped him if I wanted.... but I'm a classy lass, so I didn't. ;] I absolutely love this shirt. Asin from Mayday designed it for him. He's abolutely larger than life. The Hand that touched Leehom. Kosin lurking around a stupid picture of Debbie and me. WIN! absolutely epic. 15 bucks for our cab ride back to MGM. Debbie can't get enough of Leehom. Waking up bright and early Sunday morning for a brisk walk along the strip. Me + Mr. M&M. Look at him blush at the sight of me! We met up with Elly (and not pictured - Kosin and MJ) for lunch buffet at Wynn. Slowest horizontal escalators. EVER. We could've probably walked faster than that thing. The "skies" at Caesar's. 13 dollars gelato at Caesar's. Lesson learned: Check prices before you buy. Toys. My kind of toys. Mr. Pirate Man at Fao Schwartz. Waiting for our plane... delayed for half an hour. Goodbye Las Vegas.
