hm. gloomy day.
too much to think about
now it's just all about love. things i love. things i think you should love.

The Sleeping Beauty with National Ballet of Canada
Went to see The Sleeping Beauty with Ori. Everything was amazing. It took us a while to figure out the story of Sleeping Beauty. The one with the beast? Nope! The one with the dwarfs? Nope! The one with the long hair? Nope! It’s the one with the needle! Ding ding ding! We probably should’ve brushed up on our fairytales and Disney Princesses.
But back to the show, the ballet was really amazing. I loved how extravagant everyone was. Especially the Lilac Fairy. She was SO good at floating around the stage. I thought she was on rollerblades for a second! The wicked witch was also pretty awesome. Her costume was quite over the top. Halloween inspiration! =]
Princess Aurora and her prince charming did an amazing Pas de Duex together. *sigh* I wish I was dancing on pointe again. Things just seem so much better with it’s on pointe!
Anyways, after the show, we crazily hurried around to get dinner. Street food? Nah. Being the crazy sushi fanatics that we are, we hit up Sushi on Bloor for some takeout goodness. Definitely ended the night with a big bang!

Work outfit!
Hm. Quiet day at work… even though it’s Jeans Day for United Way, hence the uber-casual outfit.

United Way bake sale: SUCCESS!
I miss that table of goodies. My contribution was… oatmeal pecan chocolate chip cookies and chocolate zucchini muffins, both learned from my vegetarian cooking class with Lorraine.

Broken keyboard.
Yep. I broke the left ALT key on my work laptop. Technically, I didn’t break it… it came off by itself. (cough) But now I’m left with an empty space on my keyboard. I didn’t really how important this key is. Without it, I can’t ALT-Tab and switch programs, can’t ALT-F4 to close a window. I can’t even log in and off Windows. urgh.
To my left ALT key: I miss you. Come back to me.
Lee’s girlfriend, Enola, invited Derek and I to her birthday day-party at the Ontario Science Centre. I love the OSC because of their rock candy. mmhmm…. you can never deny the fun that is the Science Centre!
At one of the technology exhibits, we spotted this quote from Eminem.
“Fame hit me like a ton of bricks”
And it was right beside an Andy Warhol quote. Andy quotes, I get. But Eminem? really? I’m still trying to wrap my brain around that.
Speaking of brains, we also checked out Body World. WOW! I was so impressed with the work and effort the artists put in to make this exhibit happen. There’s SO much stuff in our bodies. Amazing. Definitely inspired me to keep my body in tip=top shape!

channel v! eek! 野獸! eek!
guess i’ll be home a lot this month watching tv!

Apple crisp!
Followed this recipe for the delicious breakfast apple granola crisp! The top of my apple crisp wasn’t very… crisp. It’s browned, yet not crisp.
The recipe was very easy to follow…. will have to invest in an apple corer if I decide to make this again. Next time, it’d be better with a crisper top!
