Another one from Stats class
Another one from Stats class

Hm. Why do I always take pictures during Stats class?

Because it’s so damn confusing.

I took this picture half an hour after the class started. At 2:30pm, Prof announces important news. The two back rows were filled with people. At 2:35pm, he starts the actual lecture. And everyone just trickles out. At 3:00pm, the entire two back rows were empty.

I feel bad for the prof.

hmm. no pictures today…. but I should’ve!

Derek drove me back to Waterloo tonight, but we took detours all over the place. Picked up car stuff and bumped into Big Steve in Vaughn. Picked up car parts in Milton. Visited Wendy at her new place in Oakville. Whoo! mini-road trip!

Wendy is fostering the two cats right now. The mini kitten is absolutely adorable. Like *sequel* kitty! adorable. She meows all the time. She’ll just look at you. And meow. And that’s all she does. I wish I can take her home. Such a cute fluff ball. The other cat, Lulu, is much calmer and she just kinda lounges around. The two puppies, Choco and ‘Nilla, are still as playful as ever.

We stayed for dinner at Wendy’s place for a barbeque tuna-and-salmon dinner. Super yummy.

Tofu Village
Lunch date @ Tofu Village

Whoo! Lunch date with the boy. We had the usual tofu soup here. It’s pretty good. I finished most of my meal… which is surprising since the portion here is quite big for a lunch meal.

Did I mention that I really like this place? Yea, I do.

It’s interesting to see that they’ve partnered up to offer some of the Ten Ren drinks, as seen above with their drinks menu. I ordered a Red Bean Latte with Black tea while Derek had a green apple green tea. Mine kinda tasted different. It was blended like a milkshake and I was expecting actual red beans in the drink. Good try nonetheless. I probably wouldn’t order their drinks though.

Dessert at The Boiler House

Dinner was even more awesome than lunch, if you can believe it! I had a dinner date with Ori. Of course, girl talk is a must on a dinner date! We decided on going to the Boiler House last winter when we were across the street at Pure Spirits. There’s no picture (other than dessert) because a) it was quite dim in the resturant b) we were talking c) we were talking.

For appetizers:
Ori – Duo of salmon – tartar and smoked salmon, sauce gribiche, house made cilantro flat bread
Me – Watermelon and pink peppercorn gazpacho, gin chantilly
Mine tasted pretty much like watermelon puree… with peppercorn. It was quite refreshing though. Maybe it was the watermelon, but it’s definitely a summer dish!

For mains:
Us – Pan roasted fresh water striped bass, saffron braised fennel tart tatin, and sauce choron
We both had the same main, and it wasn’t that bad. It reminded me of those fried fish done in HK style. Yet it’s different here. I found the dish to be a tad too salty.

For desserts:
Ori – Citrus scented crème brulee, house made biscotti, seasonal berries
Me – White chocolate bavarois, dark chocolate sable with raspberry coulis
Two words: mmhmm delish. The desserts were really good. The creme brulee was citrusy, yet the flavour wasn’t overpowering. Plus, bonus points on the gooseberry!
Mine was really good too. The white chocolate portion was really creamy and the dark chocolate sable really complemented the taste of it. Bonus points on the happy face!

iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidiot
Hmm… didn’t take any pictures today, but I am trying out this WordPress app on Android. Nevermind, I did take pictures of Cathleen looking absolutely ridiculous at 6am this morning.

So… what happened today? I woke up early… like 5:45am early. Cathleen, my first year roomie, is heading back to Ottawa for the rest of the summer. Sarah, the other roomie, and I spent the day together yesterday, complete with all the dashboard confessional goodness. So I slept over at Sarah’s place last night, so that Cathleen can say her last goodbyes. So yea, we all woke up early for that.

Beck Hall on the train!
Beck Hall on the train!

Beck Hall 209!
The super duper awesome Beck Hall 209 girlies!

Worked all morning on the Policy case… finally finished it at 11:30am and handed it in before 1pm. Of course, CS class was missed. Skipped Stats class because of the Waterloo steam train! Choo choo! on our way to St. Jacobs farmer’s market! We had the funniest train captain. He pretty much bumbled his way on the PA.

‘To the right of us, Mike and Jim founded a company called Research in Motion… they make personal computers and President Obama’s personal device.’ + ‘And to the left of us, here’s a building where we might see the reflections of our train.’ wtf.

It's been 2 years since Meemo came home.
It’s been 2 years since Meemo came home with me from Toronto Night Market. He’s been through so much… several trips from markham to Toronto… the death of his betta friend Joshua… countless days of dirty water… change in fish food.

Love you lots, Meemo.
