Leehom's Heartbeat
FINALLY! Leehom’s Heartbeat came in! All the way from Taiwan. =]
I had to go to the postal office to pick it up. Absolutely ecstatic about it.

Short review:
The songs are pretty good. Some of the songs are the very typical Leehom songs, and some songs are WHOA different. Because the songs can be quite different, the way that Leehom presented it on the CD made it very choppy. One second it’s a very rock-kinda song, the next one is a big ballad with violins and the whole shebang.
I love how he’s got the song titles translated into English, thus making them the official titles. (Unlike one of the songs 花田錯 unofficially translated into Wrong in the Flower Field, like wtf.) I’m really liking The Sun After Washed by Spring Rain (video here). It’s quite a refreshing song, definitely sounds like the song title. The first track 愛得得體 Dirty Love is really growing on me. Leehom tries to do rock here, and it’s not that bad. Bonus points for namedropping his old songs.

The one thing that I noticed about this CD is that… it’s not that recyclable. Leehom was huge on going green with his last album, and kept it with minimal packaging. This one… not so much. I understand it’s not really up to him for this type of marketing, but it would’ve been great if he continued with thatidea.

You bet that I’m listening to this nonstop every day to work.
